George Robert Kelso Sr. (1894-1987) Alexandria, LA 5.5" long Very well preserved example with the original hunters lanyard still attached. Signed on the barrel R. Kelso and dated 1976. Single reed call. As a young teen, Kelso purchased a duck call that broke almost immediately - and so Kelso tried his hand at making his own. Although a few of his calls ranged from $1-2 in the early years and ranged up to $5 for his fancier calls, it's believed most of his calls made after the 1960's were given away as gifts to friends and family members. Never growing to more than a hobby, Kelso's calls are highly regarded by collectors. Condition: Excellent and original
