Rob Protzman Loveland, CO 4.25" long Exceptionally well carved fancy duck call carved from African blackwood with a stabilized chocolate mango insert and an applied carved flying duck on the barrel also made from the stabilized chocolate mango wood. Ornate checkering of differing pattern across the barrel with texturing throughout both the barrel and insert. Single reed construction. At the 2026 annual National Wild Turkey Federation competition, Protzman took 1st place in the amateur wood category with this toneboard design. In addition he took 1st place for checkering and laminating. At the Call Collectors Association of America (CCAA) 2026 fancy call competition in Chicago, Protzman also took 1st place in professional checkering and 1st place in amateur laminating. Protzmans calls are heavily desired for his exceptional craftsmanship in combination with the genuine effectiveness of his calls. Condition: Excellent and original
