A sculptural vintage armchair constructed in natural-toned bamboo and densely woven rattan, featuring a tall slightly flared back, broad upholstered-form woven seat, and sweeping double-rail arms that curve gracefully from the back toward the front of the chair. The seat and back are executed in a tight herringbone-style basket weave that gives the piece strong texture and visual depth, while bundled bamboo legs and curved perimeter stretchers reinforce its relaxed organic profile. The chair has an attractive warm honey-brown patina with tonal variation throughout the natural materials. Condition is consistent with age and use, including scattered surface wear, darkened areas and discoloration within the weave, rubbing and minor losses to the bamboo finish, loosened or frayed binding at some joints and feet, and general wear to the woven surfaces; the chair remains a highly decorative example of vintage rattan furniture. Measure 37.5"H x 22.5"W x 21"D and seat height 20"tall.
