Vintage cast-metal marine life sculpture depicting an animated underwater composition of two sleek dolphins swimming among branching coral-like forms, surrounded by an assortment of stylized tropical fish. The dolphins are rendered in a smooth warm bronze tone that contrasts dramatically with the heavily textured supporting structure, which carries a rich green and blue-green verdigris-style patina suggestive of aged bronze. Numerous fish of varying forms are integrated throughout the sculptural “reef,” including elaborately patterned examples with incised scales, fins, eyes, and decorative surface motifs, creating a lively, almost fantastical aquatic scene. The branching composition gives the sculpture considerable height and movement, with the dolphins projecting dynamically outward at different levels above a shaped dark display base. The workmanship combines smoother modeled marine mammals with intentionally rougher, aged surfaces throughout the coral and fish, producing strong visual depth from every viewing angle. No signature is visible in the supplied photographs. Condition appears generally good with surface oxidation, patina variation, rubbing, minor scratches, and age-related wear consistent with the decorative finish and use; no major breaks are apparent from the photographs. Measures 13"H x 8"W x 4.5"D.
