A circa 1930 Phoenix Consolidated Martele line art glass vase of slender baluster form, featuring a gently flared mouth, elongated neck, rounded shoulders, and narrow circular foot. The creamy custard-colored uranium glass body is richly molded in high relief with large blossoms, serrated green leaves, and winding brown stems, the flowers accented in a muted powder-blue tone that creates an appealing layered cameo-like effect. The sculptural botanical decoration and soft matte finish reflect the French-influenced naturalism associated with Consolidated’s celebrated Martele art glass. Phoenix later produced related Martele designs under its Reuben-Line during the 1930s. The vase is reported to fluoresce under ultraviolet light, consistent with uranium-bearing glass. Light surface wear, minor discoloration, manufacturing irregularities, and scattered marks are present, with no obvious major chips, cracks, or repairs visible in the photograph. Measures 9.5"H x 3.5"W.
