This collection consists of multiple vintage belt buckles in varied styles and materials. Included is a large oval buckle crafted from brown tooled leather, featuring a central geometric basketweave design and finished with a dark brown leather whipstitch border. A rectangular silver-tone metal buckle displays a central Ford Motor Company logo in blue and white enamel. A further rectangular gold-tone metal buckle is inset with a brown leather panel embossed with a moose in a woodland landscape; the reverse of this piece is stamped Century Canada. The lot also contains a small brass-tone buckle in the shape of a horseshoe with recessed nail head detailing, and a pair of matching square gold-tone buckles with an openwork lattice mesh design and textured rope-twist borders. Dimensions (measured against a ruler): Tooled leather buckle: approx. 8.1 cm long Moose buckle: approx. 7.1 cm long Ford buckle: approx. 5.7 cm long Horseshoe buckle: approx. 4.4 cm wide Mesh buckles: each approx. 3.8 cm square. Condition: The items are in varied vintage condition. The large oval leather buckle shows significant wear to the reverse with partial delamination and cracking of the leather backing where it meets the metal attachment loop. The metal buckles exhibit light surface scratching, minor tarnish, and small areas of finish loss consistent with age and previous use.
