Lenox Blue Tree Porc. Service for 12 & Servers

A large porcelain dinner service manufactured by Lenox in the Blue Tree pattern. This service for 12 people is decorated with a central polychrome floral tree motif featuring blossoms in shades of pink, yellow, and blue on a cream ground.The rim is detailed with a wide turquoise-blue band overlaid with a repeating scroll and floral border in pink and blue, finished with a polished gold rim. The set consists of dinner plates, rimmed soup bowls, salad or dessert plates,bread and butter plates, teacups, and saucers. Serving pieces include a large oval serving platter, an oval vegetable serving bowl, a gravy boat with underplate, a creamer, and a sugar bowl. Each piece bears a gold backstamp on theunderside consisting of a laurel wreath containing a stylized letter L, LENOX, BLUE TREE, LENOX INC., and MADE IN U.S.A. Dinner plates measure 10.5 inches round.This extensive service is in overall excellent condition with vibrant colors and bright gilding. The pieces show minor handling wear expected with age and use. The lid for the sugar bowl is missing.
