This architectural display stand is a floor-standing plaster pedestal designed in the Neoclassical tradition. It features a detailed Ionic capital with prominent scrolled volutes and a central rosette. The fluted column shaft is supportedby a solid square plinth base. The entire piece is finished in a multi-toned, distressed white and grey wash to mimic the appearance of weathered stone. The construction is hollow cast composite, as evidenced by the underside. The flatsquare top is designed for supporting decorative objects. The pedestal shows expected surface wear and character marks typical for this type of plaster piece. Minor chips are present on the corner of the top plate and around the bottom edges of the base, consistent with gentle use.
