A comprehensive ivory porcelain dinner service manufactured by Lenox in the Westchester pattern. The service features wide acid-etched 24 karat gold encrusted rims with a continuous floral and scroll motif. Each piece is constructed withan ivory-toned body and a secondary fine gold band on the inner well. The underside of the serving platter bears the gold-stamped Lenox factory mark with a laurel wreath and L logo, the Westchester pattern name, and indicates the set wasmade in the USA. The service for 12 includes dinner plates, salad plates, bread and butter plates, soup bowls, and saucers, along with 12 tea cups and one large oval serving platter. Dinner plate: 8.5 inches round.This large service shows expected light surface wear and minor shelf wear to the bases consistent with age. The gold encrusting remains bright and well-preserved throughout the collection.
