5 inches tall. One has been repaired. A pair of mid-century vintage ceramic Black Americana figural chef salt and pepper shakers. This collectible set features a companion cook and chef pairing finished in a distinctive high-gloss baby blue uniform glaze. Both hand-painted figures are detailed with expressive features, bright red mouths, white buttons, and hold stylized mixing spoons detailed with metallic gold gilt tips. Bright gold trim also runs along the base rims of their garments. A classic example of mid-20th-century novelty kitchenware pottery, highly collected within historical Black Americana memorabilia.
