This large-scale counterpane is hand-crocheted from heavyweight cream-colored cotton thread. The central field features repeating raised three-dimensional floral motifs set within a geometric mesh grid, separated by vertical and horizontal bands of stylized leaf patterns. A wide, scalloped border consisting of layered fan-like designs finishes the piece.Measures: 60 inches x 120 inchesThe textile exhibits significant structural wear, including several areas of broken connecting threads and holes where motifs have become partially detached.
