This hand-pieced cotton utility quilt features a checkerboard layout of solid red squares alternating with pieced pinwheel blocks. The pinwheels incorporate a variety of mid-century printed and solid fabrics, including stripes and novelty motifs, secured with multi-colored yarn ties. The reverse side is finished with a large-scale floral and scroll printed fabric in red and blue.Measures: 78 inches x 80 inchesThe quilt is in good vintage condition with vibrant colors throughout. Visible fraying and minor seam separation are present on several pinwheel blocks. Moderate fraying and loose threads are noted along the outer red border and binding.
