DRAGON PATTERN ROUND BOUQUET BOX. <br>H:10.3cm W:18cm This is an imperial blue-and-white lidded box fired in the Longqing reign of Ming Dynasty with fitted lid and base. It has smooth white glaze, fully decorated with patterns painted with Huiqing cobalt pigment. Dragons winding among interlocking flowers cover both lid and body, separated by two scrolling grass bands. The dragons are powerful with elaborate foliage, the cobalt blue presents rich bright tone. Vertical six-character regular script blue mark "Made in the Longqing Reign of the Great Ming" is inscribed on the white glazed base.
