Vintage solid oak armchair featuring a sculpted saddle seat, gracefully curved crest rail, and traditional spindle back. Constructed with sturdy mortise-and-tenon joinery and substantial square legs joined by stretchers, this classic chair reflects the timeless design often associated with early to mid-20th century banker, captain's, or office chairs. The chair bears an old Grand Rapids Chair Company medallion, a respected Michigan manufacturer known for producing quality commercial, institutional, and office furniture during the early and mid-1900s. Its comfortable contoured seat and supportive armrests make it equally suitable as a desk chair, accent chair, library chair, or decorative piece in a rustic or traditional setting.
