Painted Wood Nine-Drawer Provincial Style

One painted wood chest/commode with nine integrated drawers arranged in three columns of three. Features include a molded scalloped top, bowed front, curved cabriole-style legs, dark metal ring pulls, and escutcheon-style fittings on the centerdrawers. No maker mark or other readable identity marking is visible; auction tag reads 1195. The finish is heavily distressed and worn, with scratches, abrasions, chipped areas, rubbed-through sections, and exposed underlying surfaces across thetop, edges, drawer fronts, legs, and feet. Drawer interiors shown contain dirt, loose debris, and brownish rust-colored staining or residue; the darkened metal hardware appears aged, but operation and attachment were not tested. Operator notes thatthe piece needs to be cleaned up somewhat. No structural or functional assessment has been made.
