One framed reproduction after Henri-Pierre Picou’s Love Taken Prisoner, also associated with the title Sans soucis. The vertical figurative composition depicts classical figures in a wooded landscape and is presented in an elaborate gold-coloredrelief-decorated frame with foliage and fruit ornament. The lower image bears a signature-like inscription appearing to read “Picou.” The reproduction is offered in an ornate frame with extensive finish wear, abrasions, darkened areas, scatteredlosses, and possible chips to the decorative elements. The image surface has visible craquelure and irregularities. The photographs do not establish whether the image is printed or hand-painted, or whether the frame has been repaired, relined,cleaned, or varnished. Reverse, stretcher, hanging hardware, and structural stability were not assessed. Exact dimensions are unavailable because the tape-measure photographs do not show complete endpoints.
