One United States 1927-D Lincoln Wheat cent in a stapled paper/cardboard 2x2 holder with a clear window. The obverse shows Lincoln, LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST, the 1927 date, and the D mint mark. The reverse shows ONE CENT, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, EPLURIBUS UNUM, and the wheat-stalk design. The heavily circulated coin has weak detail, dark brown toning, uneven discoloration, scratches, scuffs, spots, and possible surface deposits or corrosion. The used holder has edge wear, dirt, creasing, andstaples. The handwritten grade notation appears to read “VG/FINE†but is not independently verified; another holder notation is unclear. Authenticity, exact composition, die variety, and certified grade have not been established.
