Antique industrial thermometer manufactured by Schaeffer & Budenberg of Brooklyn, New York. Features a cast metal housing with glass-covered temperature scale marked from 50 to 400 degrees and a threaded probe designed for installation in steam, boiler, or condensate systems. Retains its original maker's markings and industrial form. An appealing piece of early industrial instrumentation, suitable for collectors of steam-era equipment, factory antiques, scientific instruments, or industrial décor.
