Antique Miniature Jewelers Stake Anvil Double Horn

Estimated Date: c. 1890–1935 Era: Late Victorian to Great Depression Era War: Pre-WWI through Interwar Period Description Antique miniature forged steel double-horn stake anvil used by jewelers, silversmiths, tinsmiths, watchmakers, and other precision metalworkers. Its compact size and polished working surfaces made it ideal for shaping, planishing, and forming small metal components. This example measures approximately 3" long × 2” high and features opposing tapered horns, a rectangular hardened face, and a narrow stake for mounting in a wooden block or bench fixture. The small hole through the upper body was likely intended for hanging or securing the tool when not in use. The anvil shows attractive age patina with honest workshop wear from decades of use. No maker’s mark is visible, which is common for many late 19th and early 20th century professional stake anvils. A great addition for collectors of antique blacksmith, jeweler, tinsmith, silversmith, or watchmaker tools, and an excellent display piece for an antique workshop collection. Condition: Good antique condition with expected age-related wear, scattered surface marks, and light oxidation. No visible cracks or repairs.
