NO SHIPPING ~ LOCAL PICKUP ONLY > A heavyweight solid wrought iron garden, patio or porch bench measuring 42" long, 18" deep and 36" tall to the arched back. Designed for use with a fitted seat cushion, not included, the compact two person form combines substantial construction with elaborate open scrollwork. The back features a gently arched crest above a radiating arrangement of slender vertical iron elements, framed by large curling scrolls that continue across the upper and lower sections. Broad iron arms, straight legs and additional scroll decoration beneath the seat create a balanced architectural profile with strong French Provincial and Romantic Garden character. The open strap iron seat support is designed to accommodate a loose cushion while allowing drainage and airflow in an outdoor setting. A weathered blue green finish contributes the verdigris appearance traditionally associated with established garden furniture and complements Traditional Garden, English Country, Grandmillennial, Cottagecore and vintage Mediterranean environments. Decorative wrought iron settees and loveseats became especially popular for American patios, terraces and poolside settings during the middle decades of the 20th century. Comparable vintage examples are frequently associated with manufacturers such as Woodard and Salterini, whose outdoor furnishings combined curved profiles, scrolling ornament and heavyweight iron construction, although no manufacturer’s mark has been identified and no direct attribution is made. CONDITION REPORT > Expect typical elements relative to age, use, materials and outdoor exposure over the years. The bench remains a notably appealing and substantial vintage garden example.
