One glazed ceramic or porcelain military figurine on an integral faceted pedestal with a tree-trunk-form support. The figure wears a gray uniform with blue facings, red sash, and kepi, and has attached sword, scabbard, and sidearm details. The basereads exactly “CAPTAIN / INFANTRY / 1863.” Visible wear includes abrasion and finish loss to the gold-colored base trim, scattered scuffs, and localized paint loss to the figure and accessories.
