Folded, Fine/Very Fine. British Poster (19.75" X 29.75") "Fall in the Fire-Bomb Fighters!" Presented here is a British World War II propaganda poster titled "Fall in the Fire-Bomb Fighters!", issued by the Ministry of Home Security during the Blitz. Created around 1940-1941, the poster calls on civilians to join the Fire Watcher Service (later the Fire Guard), a volunteer force tasked with combating incendiary bomb attacks. The dramatic design-featuring a hand gripping a stirrup pump hose over stylized flames-underscores the urgency of the moment, while a quote from Herbert Morrison reinforces the idea of a "citizens' army" defending the home front. A powerful example of wartime mobilization, it reflects the collective responsibility and resilience of civilians during the London Blitz. An unrestored poster with bright color and a clean overall appearance. It may have general signs of use, such as edge and fold wear, faint toning, fold separation, creasing, and unobtrusive smudging.
