R Serial # NSN. .22 Sh-L-LR caliber bolt action rifle with a 24” barrel. The bore is excellent, clean with strong rifling. Full length tubular magazine. Made by Marlin for Sears, Roebuck, & Company. The blued metal finish on the barrel and magazine tube is in very good condition showing scattered light dings and scratches with thinning and light scattered light freckling. The blued metal finish on the receiver is in fair condition, the finish has mostly turned to a brown patina with edge wear and light surface rust freckling. The plain hardwood stock is in very good condition showing some light marks from use. The plastic trigger guard is in good to very good condition showing scattered light marks and scratches with finish wear. Plastic butt plate. Original front sight missing the hood, the rear sight has been removed and the dovetail filled with a blank. Peep sight attached to the left rear of the receiver. The action works fine. C&R.
