Serial # 1025. 12 Ga. hammer fired double barrel shotgun with 30” Damascus barrels. The bores are poor, mostly clean with moderate to heavy pitting. The barrels are both choked Modified. Double triggers with extractors. The Wilkes Barre Gun Company was founded when Charles and Ernest Roth purchased the assets of the Parry Gun Co. in 1891. By 1895, they were bankrupt and were bought out by Ithaca. They were graded from A-D, I’m guessing this gun is an A Grade. The metal finish on the Damascus barrels is a worn brown patina showing a remnant lacquer coating with scattered light surface rust and scattered light dings and scratches. There is some Damascus pattern visible. The metal finish on the frame is a cleaned brownish gray patina showing scratches and older cleaned surface rust. The plain walnut forearm and the checkered walnut butt stock have been refinished and are in very good condition showing some remnant marks with some light scuffs and scratches. Original butt plate with an embossed dogs head and an LoP of 13-7/8”. The action seems to work fine. C&R.
