Husqvarna Model M40 Lahti

R Serial # D7260. 9mm Luger caliber semi auto pistol with a 4-3/4” barrel. The bore is excellent. Made in Sweden. Detachable 8 round magazine. The Lahti was a Finnish designed military pistol made under license in Sweden by Husqvarna. This gun was made for a Danish Police contact in 1944-45 and was designated M40/S by the Danish. This contact consisted of about 10,000 pistols in the S/N range D5000 to D16000. This pistol bears the Danish Crown/HV (Haerens Vapenarsenal) inspection mark. The blued metal finish on the barrel and receiver is in very good to excellent condition showing little wear with some scattered fine scratches. The blued finish on the frame is in very good condition showing little wear with some light cleaned freckling on the front grip strap. The checkered brown plastic grips are in very good to excellent condition showing little wear. The numbers match. Fixed sights. The action works fine. Includes a spare magazine. Made from 1941-1946.
