R Serial # 46290B. .22 LR caliber bolt action rifle target with a 28” standard target heavy barrel. The bore is excellent, clean with strong rifling. Made in 1940. Detachable magazine. The blued metal finish on the barrel is in very good to excellent condition showing little wear with some scattered light scratches. There are 2 scope blocks attached to the barrel with 2 side by side drilled and tapped holes 3-1/2” forward of the receiver. The blued metal finish on the round receiver is in very good condition showing light edge wear with scattered light scratches. There are 2 side by side drilled and tapped holes in the front receiver ring. The floor plate/trigger guard shows wear and thinning with scratches and are turning slightly brown. Lyman Model 52 FT aperture rear sight with hooded globe front sight. The gloss finished walnut target stock with a rail for a hand rest has been refinished and is in is in very good to excellent condition showing some scattered light dings and scratches. The adjustable hand rest on the underside of the forearm is missing. Checkered steel butt plate. Original swivels. The action works fine. The Model 52 was made from 1919 to 1979 with the Model 52B being made from 1940 – 1947. C&R.
