Persia (Iran) Scott #448 (or nearby in the 448–463 set), 3 chahi, 1909 Coat of Arms issue.IdentificationIssue: 1909 Coat of Arms / Lion & Sun definitive series (Scott 448–463).Design: Green outer frame with ornate scrollwork. Central oval in red/pink/maroon showing the classic Persian Lion and Sun emblem (lion holding a sabre, sun with face and rays, surmounted by a crown). “POSTES PERSANES” at the top. Value “3” lower left and “Ch” lower right. Persian inscriptions in the side and bottom tablets.Colors: Green frame + red/pink center (sometimes described as yellow-green & maroon in catalogues).Perforation: Typically around 12½ x 12 (matches the common gauge for this series).Condition: Used, with a partial black circular cancel across the center. Average centering; design details remain clear.
