Hungary 1 krajczár (1 kr) stamp from the 1888–99 “Envelope” definitive series.IdentificationDesign: Purple (lilac / reddish-lilac) background with a white central tablet containing the value “1 kr”, surmounted by the Hungarian crown and flanked by oak and laurel leaves.Bottom: “MAGYAR KIR. POSTA” (Hungarian Royal Post)Issue: 1888 onward (part of the long-running envelope design first introduced in the 1870s–80s and continued with black numerals on coloured paper). Printed by the Hungarian State Printing Office. Various perforations and watermark varieties exist.Catalogue numbers:Scott #22 or nearby minor number (the basic 1 kr of the 1888 black-numeral series; exact minor depends on perforation and paper).Stanley Gibbons numbers fall in the corresponding early Kingdom of Hungary envelope issues.
