Scott #599 (Type I coil).1923 2¢ carmine Washington rotary-press vertical coil, perforated 10 vertically (straight edges top and bottom). Type I. Type II (#599A) shows three distinctly heavy/bold hair lines (two of them standing out clearly in the white area of the forehead). Those heavy recut lines are not present here.Left acanthus scroll (the decorative ribbon/scroll next to the left “2”) is the normal, lighter version. On Type II the outline of this scroll is stronger and more sharply defined, especially at the top and lower curve. That stronger definition is not evident on your stamp. Mint Hinged
