Pair of Japanese Ceramic Clown Head Shakers

A pair of ceramic salt and pepper shakers, likely of Japanese manufacture, dating to the mid-20th century. Each shaker is molded in the form of a smiling clown head styled as a kettle, with a coiled wire bail handle and a removable red hat stopper.
