A pair of ceramic salt and pepper shakers, likely of Japanese manufacture, dating to the mid-20th century. Each shaker is molded in the form of a smiling clown head styled as a kettle, with a coiled wire bail handle and a removable red hat stopper. The pieces are hand-painted with a cream-colored glaze and feature a spout on the side; one retains a paper label on the underside marked 'JAPAN'.

Japanese Ceramic Salt Pepper Shakers Clown Figural Kettle Mid-Century Vintage Collectible

Dust Factory Auctions offers antique and vintage items that proudly display the natural signs of their age and previous use.
