An Art Deco period covered trinket box in the form of a turtle, likely of Bohemian or Czechoslovakian manufacture, circa 1930s. The piece is constructed from two parts of molded green glass with a swirled pattern, characteristic of malachite glass popularized by makers like Heinrich Hoffmann or Schlevogt. The box features a detailed carapace lid and a figural base, measuring approximately 7 inches in length.
