1980s Royal Worcester fine porcelain covered serving bowl featuring the Evesham M pattern with autumnal fruits and vegetables. Includes matching domed lid with knob handle and side loop handles. Bottom bears maker's factory backstamp with Panasonic attribution - piece was part of a corporate promotional marketing campaign. 8 x 4.5 in. Collector's Note: During the mid-1980s, Panasonic offered special consumer promotions where purchasers of their high-end "Genius" line of microwave ovens received complimentary Royal Worcester "Evesham 'M'" oven-to-table porcelain pieces as a bonus gift. Because these items were produced specifically for this co-branded retail promotion, the backstamp was customized to include "compliments of the Genius Panasonic", serving as a unique marker of its promotional history.
