This is a single volume copy of The Complete Works of William Shakespeare with the Temple Notes, published by The World Syndicate Publishing Company of Cleveland and New York. The book features an embossed leather style cover with a raised portrait cameo of Shakespeare, decorative gilt corner tooling, red page edges, and a frontispiece portrait based on the Chandos likeness. It contains all of the plays and poems with an introduction and an index to characters, illustrated with designs by T. M.Matterson and engravings by Alexander Anderson. The volume stands about 7 inches tall and shows light rubbing to the cover. Condition is very good. Estimated Value: $25 to $45 based on comparable recent sales. Sold as-is.
