Issued in September 1942 for the Winterhilfswerk campaign, this trio of pressed glass donation badges stems from the "Deutsche Baudenkmäler" series. The pieces measure 1 to 1.25 inches high and feature intaglio-molded landmarks highlighted with pigments. The first badge, in clear glass with painted details, depicts the historic Marienburg castle fortress in West Prussia with its name inscribed at the base. The second, in light purple glass, portrays the Völkerschlachtdenkmal monument in Leipzig, bearing the inscription "Völkerschlachtdenkmal" along the bottom. The third badge, in green glass, displays the Tannenberg Memorial fortress. Each piece is designed with a curved top, a flat reverse, and a molded horizontal channel for a mounting pin. The green and purple badges show small chips along their top edges, and all three display light surface wear. PM
