The lot features two die-struck aluminum badges issued for "Tag der Arbeit" (Day of Labor) commemorations held in 1935 and 1936 during the Third Reich period (1933-1945). Each badge displays horizontal pin backs and minor surface oxidation consistent with light storage wear. The obverse designs portray the unity of farmers, laborers, and soldiers, as symbolized by associated implements and figures. The badges were produced by Karl Hensler (1936) and Hillenbrand & Broer (1935), manufacturers based in Germany. Annual commemorative badges such as these were distributed during official National Day of Labor celebrations, intended to promote socio-political unity and are marked on the reverse with the makers’ information and city. Approximate dimensions are 1.5" in diameter for the round badge and 1 3/4" tall for the oval badge. OT
