Published by Wilhelm Limpert-Verlag, Berlin, this tan linen-bound volume titled Wehrdienst-Ehrendienst documents the 1941 invasion of Russia. The interior opens with portraits of Adolf Hitler and Generalleutnant Rienitz, commander of the 24th Infantry Division. 148 mounted photographs detail institutional training at the H. Gerhold Kaserne, inspection ceremonies, and unit mobilization. Frontline pages under a handwritten "Russland 1941" header chronicle mechanized columns, Sd.Kfz. 10 half-tracks, military bridge building, and an encounter with a knocked-out Soviet T-34 tank. Additional photographs document captured French armor, local populations, and soldiers on the march. The volume shows standard shelf wear to the cover corners and edges. This measures 9.5" x 12".
