This tan linen-bound album titled Wehrdienst-Ehrendienst was created during the Third Reich era (1933-1945) as a commemorative record of Wehrmacht service. The album features a printed cover with a red, black, and white flag motif and contains 110 black-and-white photographs depicting daily military life, including field exercises, kitchens, and group camaraderie. Included are a formal Hitler portrait, detailed illustrations of soldiers marching, and scenes of barracks routines. The album retains original ephemera in a loose back pocket.
