Figured Maple .22 Caliber Lidded Cartridge Box (4.75" X 3.75" X 1.75") Stamped "Lou J Eppinger. Inc, Outfitter to Marksman/Detroit Michigan." Eppinger became a taxidermist around the turn of the 20th century and eventually became one of the world's most renown fishing lure manufacturers operating in Dearborn, MI. As a side business he opened a shop in Detroit and carried a line of fine target rifles, ammunition and other shooting accouterments. The company still operates today as one of the world's most famous fishing lure manufacturers.
