A complete 1981 Topps Baseball set — all 726 cards — pack fresh and hand-sorted for centering, housed in two labeled storage boxes. Every card came straight out of unopened packs, never sleeved into a binder or picked through: sharp corners, clean edges, bright color, and the strong centering that makes this particular set worth paying attention to. That last part matters — 1981 Topps is notorious for off-center printing, which is exactly why high-grade examples are scarce relative to how many sets were produced. A set assembled with centering in mind is a genuine grading candidate, not just a shelf piece. The rookie class is one of the best of the decade: Fernando Valenzuela (Dodgers Future Stars, alongside Mike Scioscia), Tim Raines (Expos Future Stars), Kirk Gibson, Harold Baines, Jeff Reardon, and Danny Ainge — all rookie cards. Add Rickey Henderson's second-year card, Nolan Ryan, and the full run of early-'80s Hall of Famers, and this is one of the most rewarding vintage sets to own intact.
