A group of hand-painted glazed earthenware table and kitchenware from the Chili Fest range by Clay Art, South San Francisco. The set comprises a large circular serving bowl, a small dish moulded in the form of a single chilli pepper, and a three-piece cruet set. The bowl features a vibrant, stylized motif of red, yellow, and green chilli peppers interspersed with black dash patterns on a cream-coloured ground. The cruet set consists of a double-welled stand with a green-striped central handle and two small jugs with green loop handles and cork stoppers; one jug is decorated with an eggplant motif and the other with a sunflower. The bases of the bowl and the small dish bear stamped marks in black: CLAY ART, CHILI FEST, HAND PAINTED, PEINT A LA MAIN, PINTADO A MANO, SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, and © 1998 CLAY ART, MADE IN CHINA. Bowl diameter approx. 42 cm; Cruet set height approx. 21.5 cm; Small dish length approx. 19 cm (measured against a visible ruler). Condition: Glaze crazing visible throughout. Minor surface marks and light signs of use to the interior of the cruet stand. No visible chips, cracks, or restoration.
