This lot comprises two vintage items designed for household document organisation. The first is an expanding accordion-style file with a pictorial cardboard exterior titled Home file, featuring a colour photograph of a colonial-style house. The interior contains numerous cream cardstock internal dividers organised by month, alphabetical order, and specific household categories such as Insurance, Automobile, and Taxes. The second item is a portable metal document box finished in a tan textured hammer-tone paint. It features a top-opening hinged lid with a central barrel lock, and includes one key. The upper left corner of the front face is embossed with a stylised logo consisting of the letters F and C. The interior is fitted with a metal rail for hanging files and is lined with yellow material. A grey plastic carrying handle is mounted to the side. Dimensions measured against a ruler: H approx. 26.7 cm x W approx. 31.8 cm x D approx. 25.4 cm. Condition: The pictorial accordion file shows moderate wear to the cardboard edges and corners. The metal document box exhibits a prominent area of dark staining and adhesive residue on the top of the lid surrounding the lock mechanism. Both items are in functional used condition with the lock and hinges operating correctly.
