This is a Cleveland Superior brass trumpet made by King, part of the H.N. White Company family of student horns, in a gold colored lacquer finish. The bell is engraved Cleveland Superior Made By King and the case badge reads Cleveland King. It comes in a hard case with plush lining and includes a Bach mouthpiece. Cleveland trumpets were built as durable student instruments and clean examples commonly sell in the range of about 75 to 175 dollars. Condition is fair to good with wear and thinning to the lacquer, tarnish and discoloration on the valve stems, and a wrap of tape around one of the slides that suggests a past repair, so the valves and slides should be checked and serviced. Playing condition has not been tested. Estimated Value: $75 to $150 based on comparable recent sales. Sold as-is. Photos are the most accurate description of this lot.
