This is a Gemeinhardt 2SP silver plated student flute in a Selmer hard case. The 2SP is one of the most common student flutes in the United States, a closed hole model with an offset G key that new sells around 400 to 500 dollars and used typically brings less. The flute comes apart into the usual three pieces, the head joint, body, and foot joint, and appears complete. The silver plated finish and keywork show light tarnish and handling marks, and the pads are aged and yellowed, so a service or pad job would likely be needed before regular play. The black Selmer case has blue lining and closes and latches. Working and playing condition has not been tested and it is sold as is. Used 2SP flutes in this condition commonly sell in the range below. Estimated Value: $75 to $125 based on comparable recent sales. Sold as-is. Photos are the most accurate description of this lot.
