This lot has two decorative display swords. The first is a Marine Corps style officer saber with a gold colored hilt, a lion and eagle pommel, a black wrapped grip, and a black scabbard with gold colored fittings, and it comes with a yellow tassel. The blade is etched United States Marines and is marked UC3068 Stainless Steel Handcrafted in China, matching the United Cutlery USMC NCO pattern that retails new around 80 dollars. The second is a ninja or samurai style short sword with a bare natural wood handle, a brass colored sun shaped guard, a curved single edge blade, and a separate blue and black cord wrapped scabbard. The saber is in good decorative condition with minor wear to the plating, while the samurai sword shows a cracked wood handle and rust spotting on the blade. These are decorative pieces and not tempered for use. Estimated Value: $40 to $75 based on comparable recent sales. Sold as-is. Photos are the most accurate description of this lot.
