This impressive early twentieth-century baby boy doll was produced by the Elektra Toy and Novelty Company of New York City between 1910 and 1920. Measuring approximately twenty-three inches in height, it is crafted from a thick, heavy composition material and features fully jointed arms and legs affixed to a sturdy torso, giving the doll a lifelike heft. The authentic Elektra maker mark is clearly stamped on the back of the neck, securing its place as an antique collectible. Its expressive, hand-painted face displays molded short hair, vibrant blue eyes, feathered brows, blushing cheeks, and bright red lips, reflecting the distinct aesthetic of its era. While some minor age-related crazing and finish wear can be seen, this rare American character doll remains structurally solid, making it a noteworthy addition for serious collectors of antique toys and historical novelties. **Shipping Notice: Due to the delicate nature of the doll's sleep eye mechanism, any shipped doll will arrive with the wig and skull cap removed, and the eyes secured to help minimize the risk of damage during transit. Please expect this if you require shipping. Because of the additional time and care required to prepare the doll for safe shipment, an additional handling fee may apply. These dolls are exceptionally fragile, and while we take the greatest care in packing and securing every item, shipping always carries an inherent risk. By requesting shipping, you acknowledge and accept the possibility of damage that may occur during transit.
