A silver-plated serving group by Wm. Rogers comprising a lidded butter dish and three serving pieces. The three-part butter dish features a gadrooned rim and shell-form finial, complete with its original fitted clear glass insert decorated with a molded sunburst pattern. The coordinating flatware set includes a cold meat fork and two serving spoons, each featuring an ornate floral repoussé pattern on the handles. The pieces are marked with the Wm. Rogers eagle and star symbols, model number 887, and the stamp WM ROGERS MFG. CO. EXTRA PLATE. Butter Dish Base: 8 inchesLarge Serving Spoon: 8.5 inchesCold Meat Fork: 8.25 inchesSmall Spoon: 6 inches.The silver-plated components show moderate surface scratches, scuffing, and areas of tarnish and oxidation consistent with age and use. No plating loss or base metal exposure is visible. The glass insert remains in good condition with no chips, cracks, or clouding.
