This full-size violin was crafted by Robert Nürnberger in 1918 and bears the serial number 1058 on the internal maker label. The instrument features a two-piece spruce top with a fine grain and a two-piece back of highly flamed maple with matching ribs and neck. It is fitted with an ebony fingerboard and a distinctive set of decoratively carved hardwood pegs and tailpiece. A vintage Lifton Built Like a Fortress hardshell case with a brown crocodile-embossed exterior and four Super-Sensitive string envelopes are included.Violin body length: 14 inchesViolin total length: 23.5 inchesCase length: 31 inches.The instrument is structurally sound with detached bridge. There is notable varnish wear and minor chipping on the lower rib near the chinrest clamp, along with light surface scratches and dings consistent with age and use. The vintage case shows moderate scuffing and wear to the exterior edges while the interior remains well-preserved.
