An oil on stretched canvas still life depicting oranges spilling from a golden, shell-shaped vessel, accompanied by sprigs of small blue flowers. The work is signed in the lower right corner Lila B. and features a softly blended neutral background. The wooden stretcher is inscribed with the name Freddie and a handwritten note reading Theresa Murphy 1980. The painting is housed in a molded gilt wood frame.16 x 20 inches (overall).The canvas displays significant foxing and brown spotting on the reverse, while the painted surface remains stable with typical surface dust. The gilt frame shows minor wear and small abrasions to the finish consistent with age.
