This maritime artwork is a vintage print on board by the American marine artist Frank Vining Smith. It is presented in a carved wooden frame with a notched outer border and a wide fabric-textured inner liner accented by a gold-tone fillet. The verso bears a heavily torn brown paper dust cover and a small inventory label marked 808.28 x 34.5 inThe print surface exhibits several small scuffs and scattered losses to the image layer, notably in the upper sky and the lower foreground waves. The frame shows minor nicks and surface wear consistent with age. The paper dust cover on the reverse is significantly torn and partially missing.
