This oil on canvas by M. Davids depicts a nautical harbor scene with docked sailboats and wharf-side buildings. The work is executed in a mid-century modern decorative style using heavy palette knife application to create thick impasto throughout the composition. The painting is housed in a slim gold-toned metal frame and includes a commercial gallery label from Creative Galleries, Inc. as well as handwritten inscriptions on the reverse.12 inches (H) x 24.5 inches (W). Good condition with visible surface dust across the impasto peaks. Light scuffs and minor oxidation are present on the gold-toned metal frame.
